Oh my, what a very broad spectrum of emotional vibrations sprinted throughout my body last Sunday and the one previous to that. The temperature and weather were beautiful. The only problem is that I woke up too early from having the best dream about my recently departed Mr. Puppy.
That started this beautiful clear blue-sky day off with puppy love from the other side of the veil. Awesome! The first dream of him that I’ve had since he passed, and I hope for many more dream visits. Although happy, I was a little upset at myself because I was so excited and shocked to see him in my dream that I woke up too soon. I would’ve loved 5- 10 more minutes or even 3 hours more of puppy filled dreams with him.
Here’s the dream … my little momma dearest was knocking at my door. I answered it and my little gangsta puppy, Pancho Marie was in her arms.
I screamed with joy, “Oh, MY GOD!”
My mom responded, “What? Why are you screaming?”
Me, “Because I thought he was dead.”
“No, he’s right here.”
I quickly snatched him up and flooded his face with kisses and his little body with hugs and pinches. It was perfect, but because I was excited, I woke up too soon. I miss him.
Feeling a little spiritually needy I took my light brown Mexican American ass to church. And thank the Lord I did. The place was packed with people also looking for a little comfort and wanting to calm their own anxieties. And gosh, the love was palpable this morn, and I needed it.
Beautiful little moments happened one right after another and if I weren’t paying attention I would have missed them. One such moment was when the handsome white Reverend led the mostly white congregation in the Lord’s Prayer.
He said something like, “We ask that you pray in the language that you are most comfortable with.” He co-leads the congregation with his beautiful female partner/significant other, who is also a Reverend. Yup, he’s straight *eye roll*.
Then the totes hot Reverend led the prayer, but this sexy cracka did it in Spanish. And because of the political climate and our own government targeting all brown people (in an attempt to make us question our own worth), I found myself fighting back some tears. The sentiment melted my heart. I see you Mister Sexy Rev and thank you for seeing us.
I looked around and my eyes witnessed the best of humanity, and my ears were flooded with the sound of spiritual love for our fellow man, as so many of these white people were praying the Lord’s prayer in Spanish with the sexy Rev.
I stretched out my chi-neck (cause I’m chunky right now) and cleared my throat because I was going to follow their lead. And I sure did make a full attempt… I sure tried, but I couldn’t keep up with these white people. They were way better at annunciating, pronouncing, and speaking Spanish than little ol’ brown Mexican American me (from Utah).
Although I couldn’t speak it well, my spirit understood the beautiful gentle message they delivered, that they (we) stand with immigrants and all brown people alike. And that all people have value. And that it’s beautiful to speak other languages, and the spirit understands the jest or the love of it, even if you or I don’t.
BTW, it’s not fair that I can be targeted because of my brown skin and forced to show my identification just for driving down the fucking street. And then needing to carry around my birth certificate or pass passport for fear of being falsely deported – is BS!
I give thanks to crazy ol’ lady Rhonda Rae, who is now in Utah, for a lot of things, especially his advice and friendship. He and I talk almost every day. He’s still my homie, and still gets on my nerves from all the way ovary there.
Yes, he is still his crazy cooky old man naughty self but with a little less joy in his voice over the last month. The joy seems to be coming back the last few days because he made the decision to come back home. Rhonda Rae, “I just want to die where my husband did.” So that crazy ol bitch is coming back to Palm Springs and I couldn’t be more excited.
Squirtle…. Adhd…I almost forgot, I’m grateful that he told me to get a passport two years ago. I never had one before. I’m not well traveled and haven’t had enough money to see the world like so many of you have. But that doesn’t make me any less American than anyone else. Gosh, I could only imagine how lost I’d be in a foreign country, if I still get lost in Palm Motha Tuckin Springs.
Rhonda Rae encouraged me to get a passport cause he a sneaky hoe. He would always tell me he wanted to go on a trip to Mexico and that if I went with him to “take care” of him he would pay my way. Not having seen the world, the offer was enticing, and I agreed. Hence, I have a fuckin passport. But we never did get to Mexico because that old dirty birdy tried to book a room with one bed. He said I’d have to sleep in the same bed as him because he couldn’t afford the extra room. I said naaaaah bitch, but A+ for effort. If you can’t afford the extra bed, then you can’t afford to treat me on a trip. I see what you mean when you said, “take care of you.”
Noope Rhonda Rae, nope. The only penis I was comfortable sleeping in a bed with (overnight) was Pancho Marie and the Lord Jesus with all His abs. Human beings can be scary.
I know I joke a bit, but I am grateful that I have my fucking passport. As an American citizen who even ran for office a long time ago, I never thought I NEEEEEDED it. I think bringing racism and bigotry back or to the forefront is lame, unpatriotic, hurtful, and a spirit breaker for the masses of the legal brown people in America.
How would you like to get pulled over after a long day of work and screamed at to get your ID out, with a gun shoved in your face (like they report is happening in Utah). Then being unlawfully handcuffed and humiliated because of the color of your skin? It’s pretty fucked up. ICE Agents were even found to be giving disparaging and false statements to law enforcement and the courts in UT after pulling over a young Latino who waived to his friend that was driving in the opposite direction. LIKE WTFuckkk?!?! THEY FLAT OUT LIED!
Another horrifying thing is that Native American people were deported from the reservation! Like what the actual fuckkk? This is just the beginning and if we don’t do something to stop it, it will get worse. This is another evil land grab by the evil spirit that slaughtered their people, language, and culture generations ago. They are going to try another forced “relocation” of these innocent people, or they’ll try to exterminate them again, because they didn’t finish the job the last time. And now the greedy elite want the land the Native Americans are on for the oil. It’s disgusting. The Utah State Legislature is just as disgusting and disgraceful. They are possessed by the same evil spirit as one would be who grabs a pussy without consent, only they are going to grab land without consent. We must stand with Native Americans and all our brown people. We are stronger together. (They will come for Blacks, Asians, Muslims, Jews, and anyone else that is not a white man.)
I think that humanizing us matters, whether it’s because of our sexual orientation, gender identity, religion or not, color of our skin, or where we were born- we need to show them and everyone they will try to convert to hate, just how human and loveable we are. Humanizing each other could open the eyes, minds, or hearts for someone who thought you were a monster. In fact, it could de-monster or cast out the evil hateful spirit they’ve been possessed with.
Well, the truth is we are all monsters. We are Lady Gaga’s little monsters that love, laugh, experience joy, fear, and just want peace. Right now, they are trying to move the goal post of equality from all of us. They are trying to kick us off the field. (Since I brought her up, I CUNT wait for Gaga’s new album. So glad she stuck up for our community at the Grammy’s. And loved JLo’s dress and soooo looking forward to the Kiss of the Spider Woman. GAAY.. I mean Yaaay!)
Sometimes personal stories that humanize us can help paint a picture that everyone deserves equal access to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness and queer joy. I believe in that America. I want that America to survive.
If I ever do get to travel, I wonder if those cities, states, or countries are kinder to people like you and me than our own fellow countrymen? Which makes me wonder, do you think that human beings have a predisposition to be mean and cruel to each other? Have we not advanced passed being predators or ass holes? Because they are acting like predators and ass holes. And so many of us are their prey. But there is safety in herds, I imagine even in the human kind of herd (they are treating us like animals, so I use an animal reference).
The more loving humans there are that believe in equality, the easier it is to fight back against the 1/3 of America that wants to annihilate you and your rights. And really it’s not even 1/3 anymore, because they’ve lost a lot of support. Many within that 1/3 are having buyer’s remorse. They’ve realized they bought lies and really their own demise.
We are in the beginning of the mean-times and there are a group of people currently trying to overthrow the American way of life, dismantle our government and its functions, and redefine what an American actually is. One of them was not even born in America and even speaks with an African accent. Ugh, first the trims, now this?
But hasn’t this been going on for centuries? Really since the beginning of time? Looking back at all the wars you find people killing other people to take their land, resources, or just because of hate. It’s often a group of people thinking that they could control, exterminate, or enslave other groups of people. Like ewe humans, are we always going to be so disgusting?
Do we ever change and evolve to the next level? Are humans always going to have the predisposition for evil with a side of desire to take what someone else has? And is their insatiable greed ever going to allow anyone else to have anything? Are humans just predators destroying our planet, its clean water, plant life, and the little animals that live here and other human beings?
He/they’ve declared war against America. Are we just too afraid to acknowledge it? These executive orders are disgusting, disgraceful, and not how the United States government works. If Muskrat wanted to control what happens with American’s hard-earned taxes, he should have paid taxes into our system! Why doesn’t he contribute and pay his own taxes instead of taking government grants to enrich himself and destroy America? If he wants to poke around in America’s purse, then he should run for congress. He should not be allowed to do any of this without oversight from both parties. HE SHOULDN’T BE ALLOWED TO DO THIS AT ALL. No one should be allowed to buy their way into our government, without being elected! They…he is even trying to enact a law that hides what they are doing for 10 years. By then the damage will be done and the country will be overthrown by his tyrannical white supremacist ideologies. He would have destroyed our way of life and our possibilities of the American dream. My American dream will always have puppies.
I can foresee, surmise they’ve Trojan Horsed our systems and will syphon, steal, and drain our government’s tax funds that are supposed to be for you and me when we get older. They are dismantling our government. Then after they break our government’s treasury and ratings he will try to come in like a savior, but he’s no savior. He’s the devil and I hope America doesn’t fall for it.
