Hey Mexican, Latino, Latinx, Puerto Rican and any other Spanish speaking country of origins where you are loved, kissed and darkened by the sun- I’m talking to YOU! I hate to lump us(a) all in together, but we are all the same to him and them. So, it’s time that we respond in unity and it’s time that you stop voting against your own best interests.
Regardless of your Latinx heritage, I hope this message finds you and your loved ones safe. I’m writing to speak from the heart—about something that affects all of us(a), whether we realize it or not: how we treat queer and trans people in our communities and families.
I am writing to tell you your WHOLE family matters- even those of us(a) who might love a little bit different. Mira, Amas and Apas you have to have face the reality, queer kids can happen to any one of our families and nothing you can say, do, or the amount of hate you display is ever going to be enough to change who your children love. They/we deserve to feel safe in this scary as fuck moment- at least with our families. How you honor and protect the life that you created, nurtured, and fed is just as important as all the other lives in your family too. We matter….just like YOU matter.
I can say this from my own experience and because I’m not fucking blind. I see how you treat us(a) in the stores, in our places of employment, and within your own families and communities. You know you’ve not always been kind or promoted a great sense of safety for us(a). I’m mentioning it now, because you/we Latinos are getting a taste of what some of our queer community members face every day. And sometimes, it’s by your hateful bigoted hands and actions.
I’m writing you my fellow Mexican because I hope you change… I hope you see that we are all on the same side. My community could use one less villain to fight in our everyday lives and I hope that’s you. I wouldn’t even mention it if I hadn’t already seen or experienced how some of you old school Machismo Mexicans behave. It’s not always easy to exist as a queer person because of all the hate we experience out there in the world. This is a plea that your hate is not something we have to battle too.
Look Motha’ Fucka you can’t be asking everyone to help you out now that it’s your ass on the chopping block, without expecting some conditions. I’d ask you… what would you do when one of your abusers is asking for your help to stop their abuser from hurting them, stealing their property, disappearing them from their families, and destroying their lives, homes, and everything they built.
Let me ask a couple more probing questions…. Probing hehe … well what would you do if that same bully picked on you your whole life, and they even happened to be one or both of your parents? That’s what Mexicans do sometimes to their own queer family members- sometimes they treat them/us(a) like we are their enemies and were not. Or at least not if they stand on the side of freedom and equality for everybody and not just themselves.
If you my fellow Mexican wake up to find yourself in an onion or strawberry field with two different people, but you decide on who those people are what would you do? You’re choices are limited, and you have to choose between:
1 Nazi and 1 Trans Human.
2 Nazis
2 Trans Humans
1 Gay/Lesbian and 1 trans person
If you picked 1 Nazi and 1 Trans Human. The Trans Human is going to help you fight the Nazi when he tries to kill you both. They will probably save your life, if they had too. Same goes for the gay/lesbian. Would you do the same?
2 Nazis- boom your brown ass is dead.
2 Trans Humans or 1 Trans Human and 1 Gay/Lesbian – Everyone walks away safely, we’d hope. Or are you the perpetrator in this scenario? Because peace, love and elbow grease is so much more enjoyable for everyone if freedom truly does ring for everybody.
If you really are the perp in that last scenario- then fuck you …just like fuck those 2 Nazis. You do too much harm to my community/communities. If you had to choose between standing with someone who wants to protect your rights and someone who wants to erase you—who would you choose? That’s the choice many queer and trans people face every day.
Let’s just hope that you aren’t the perpetrator in that last scenario… or in your own families or communities and that you finally realize that if you don’t stand up for equality for everybody then your own freedoms are going to be at risk. Are you able to connect those Mexi-dots that show you how God truly works? This is a growth moment for our country and we either see that we are all in this together, or we fail.
It’s a humbling realization when we recognize the fall or demise of one identity group is the fall of all the others. We are all connected whether you realize it or not.
It’s even bigger than that, we are globally connected in a way that has never been a possibility for us(a) before this current timeline. Which sucks by the way…there better be some good growth in love and equality at the end of it…. YESSS! Something great in and from love must come out of all this tyranny, destruction, and overthrowing of our government and cuntry.
I have to hold on to that as my center to keep balance and to move forward. It’s so easy to get knocked off your human loving center when you see all their evil every day. Love for self and for our community and families is our best motivator.
So, the question remains… would you rather fight against or with trans and queer people by your side? Some of the greatest warriors are in our community. Would you rather fight this inevitable racist war alone? Are you willing to die for your rights and theirs? Or would you rather answer to a Nazi and Russian regime? And if your answer is you’d rather fight with Trans and Queer people right next to you in battle as you fight evil… that sounds like progress. If we don’t have progress- this is all for nothing.
My mom asked me if I thought that Mexicans were being treated worse than gay and trans people. I said I don’ t know anymore. I think it goes gay people, Mexicans and then trans in the order of mistreatment from less to worst. Or gay people, trans, and then Mexicans. Either way, it’s not right. None of that oppressive hate is right, just, Christian, or godly.
My fellow Mexican- we are willing to fight next to you for ALL of our rights. We just ask that you don’t try and take away our rights after yours are secured. That’s not how this works. I also ask you to treat my community better in general, and at the very least treat your own queer kids better.
They face battles all day, er’day and you shouldn’t be one of them. And if you are- then that’s not what Jesus taught and I know you’re likely a catholic, so I hope you listen! You can’t just pick and choose the things you want out of that book. Love your neighbor came right out of Jesus Christo’s mouth.
Sometimes I can’t believe this is our real life right now. He’s destroying our government and our American way of life. How disgustingly sad it is to see how far we’ve sunk because of one fat evil nerd that clearly smells bad.
Did you watch those videos? All the world leaders in his vicinity make a stinky -ewe-ewe-ewe face – when they are around dumpy don. Do you think he knows he stinks that bad? Do you think the evil is rotting him from the inside-out? Then comes out his pores, stinky breath, or in his diapey? Do you think his daddy putin makes him stink like shit intentionally if he is going to speak to putin’s enemies? He is a Russian agent after all- the world knows it and you and I know it. And I wouldn’t put it past dicktator putin to order diapey grampy to shit himself and brush his mouth with shit before he spoke with Captain Z face to face.
Back to you my fellow Mexican/Mexican-American….if we show up for you… can we trust that you’ll show up for us(a) when the time arises? What about for our trans people too? We all need each other- especially right now. We are all in this all together or we will fail and lose our rights. We’re stronger when we fight for each other, not against each other. I believe in a future where all of us(a)—queer, trans, Mexican, immigrant, and beyond—stand together for freedom, dignity, and love.
Remember- You can’t ask for solidarity when your rights are threatened, and then turn around and deny that same solidarity to others. That’s not justice—that’s hypocrisy. And God hates a hypocrite. Justin sayin….I hope that we’d all show up to fight for each other (no matter what race/religion/sex/sexual orientation). It feels like its a war between heaven and hell. I know I don’t want to live without my American born freedoms in the hell that dictator is trying to create. God bless America.

PSSSS Seth Rogen is one of my favorite Jews, next to Jesus LOL. He’s killin it on Apple TV with his brilliant shows like, “The Studio” and “Platonic”. Sooo fuckin funny and really was just the escape my brain needed from all the chaos the devil in the WH is creating for all of us(a) in America and across the globe.
