What has become of this the country that we’re living in?

Where hate is taught but love is a sin.

Where corruption is deep, and judges can be bought with a stroke of a pen.

The old white men have dealt a new hand and they ain’t playin gin.

I walk around the table looking for space.

And they say, “That seat is taken and

that’s not a place where you can stand.”

Oh, but I can.

Oh, what is this country that we’re living in?

When freedom is given and then stripped away.

All because we are gay, they won’t let us play.

But we can, and love’s gonna win.

There is a seat at the table, but they won’t deal me in.

I’d like to sit at the table, but they won’t let me in.

They spew hateful words and say our love is a sin.

I hope they know you are loved and love’s gonna win.

There’s a seat at the table, saved for their friends.

All because you are gay, they won’t let you play.

The old white men have dealt a new hand.

They see you happy, and that’s where they draw a line in the sand.

But you can, and love’s gonna win.

The old boys hold all the cards and are playing to win.

I should walk away,

Oh, I should walk away

But I think I’ll play.

What has become of this the country that we’re living in?

I thought we were free to be who we want to be,

And we can, cause love’s gonna win.

I should walk away
Oh, I should walk away
But I think I’ll stay

They tell me to leave, but I’m going to stay.

Oh, hate- that’s just the game that they like to play.

I won’t go away.

The old boys hold all the cards and they ain’t playing gin.

And Freedom is ours, and we’re gonna win.

The cards are stacked, but I want to play.

So, the mad man’s in the big chair
And his heart’s an iron vault
He says, “If you can’t make ends meet, faggot, it must be your fault”
We all focus on the winners
And get blinded by their shine
Maybe caring for each other’s just too 1969

You hear me say, I think I’ll play.

Oh, I should walk away, but I think I’ll slay.

They make all the white men the winners
And get blinded by their shine
Maybe caring for each other’s just too 1969

I can’t help but fight for freedom like it’s 1969.

So let us slay.

And I think I’ll stay, yeah
I have too much to lose and freedom to gain.
Because we can, and love’s gonna win.

So, I think I’ll stay
I can’t walk away

(End)

I was at the gym and watching videos on my phone and Miley popped up. I hope she doesn’t get mad at me because I was listening to her song, “Golden G-String” and it inspired me to write after hearing about the free pass to discriminate against LGBTQ people. It’s disgusting. Discrimination and hate is what led me to Palm Springs. I love it here and I think I’ll stay.

The italics is from her album and the other is little old gay as fuck me.

I hope that you all realize that this is what they do. They target us and make us feel less than. You are not less than and neither am I. I love you. I love you and I love you. Don’t let their hate consume you and don’t give up bitches. We are in this together and we fight to win. Vote! Vote! Vote!

(I wonder if the Log Cabin Republicans feels stupid now? Supporting a party that hates you is not something I can get behind.)

Ms Miley, I’d be happy to take down the poem/song/words above if you want me to. I mean no harm and I just want to love and felt inspired by the Golden G String. If it is an issue- I’m happy to take it down. xo

With Love,

The Happy Homo

PS Fuck those 6 bastards.

PS5 Here is an article because

PS6 They did this intentionally in the month of June, Pride Month. “Why is Pride Day in June? LGBT Pride Month occurs in the United States to commemorate the Stonewall riots, which occurred at the end of June 1969. As a result, many pride events are held during this month to recognize the impact LGBT people have had in the world. Three presidents of the United States have officially declared a pride month.”
